Random Ramblings and Half-wit Ideas

This is Inara Helen-Maria.  She is now three weeks old and it finally feels like the routine of life is slowly coming back.  Her older brother adores her, which makes things so much easier.  And it is true what my friends told me - it is easier the second time around.  There is none of the hesitation that comes with the first.  You just *know* what to do and you do it.
She is just lovely.  My little zen baby.  She has this amazingly calm aura about her.  She sleeps like a dream and rarely cries.  And yesterday she gave her first real non-gas smiles to her big brother…who has been trying to make her laugh since she was born.
We went with a good geek name.  She is named after the character Inara from the show “Firefly.”  The original origin is Arabic and it means “enlightened.”  It was one of those times when you hear a name and it just sticks.  We are pretty big sci-fi fans, so it sort of fit with us.
Her middle names are for my Grandma (Helen) and my husband’s Baba (Maria).  It was a way of honouring them.
She is the third great joy in my life (my first two being my son and my husband.)
